Improv I: Let's Play!

Six Week Class | 16 Students Maximum

In Leela’s signature level I class, you will experience the transformative nature of group play. Lessons are firmly rooted in technique and theory from Viola Spolin’s theater games, mindfulness, dance/movement, sound/music, and child's play. You will learn a vast array of techniques to tap into pure spontaneity, creativity, and collaboration. Learn to trust and act on impulse, increase comfort with the unknown, become more flexible, develop problem solving skills, and freely communicate and collaborate with others. *Shy people welcome. Repeat this class as often as you like for your weekly dose of play.

Class Instructions Everyone meets in front of the SF Chronicle building at 6:55 PM and goes inside together.

As a participant in any Leela Arts LLC program I recognize and acknowledge there are certain risks of physical injury, and I agree to assume the full risk of injuries, including death, damages or loss that I may sustain as a result of participating in any activities connected with or associated with such program. I agree to waive and relinquish all claims I may have as a result of participating in any program against Leela Arts LLC and its officers, agents, servants, instructors, employees and independent contractors.

I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless and defend Leela Arts LLC and its officers, agents, servants, instructors, employees and independent contractors from my claims resulting from injuries including death, damages and losses sustained by me that arise out of, in connection with, or in any way associated with the activities of this program.

I understand that Leela Arts LLC promotes improvisational theatre as an art form not only to its participants, but also to the community at large. As such, articles, brochures, videos and websites my be used either promotionally or educationally and may include images of Leela Arts LLC participants in our programs.

I hereby permit the use of my image to be photographed, videotaped or otherwise recorded for use in Leela Arts LLC’s publicity or educational materials. These materials include, but are not limited to, photographs of any/all Leela Arts LLC programs, the Leela Arts LLC newsletters, various other publications, Leela Arts LLC’s internet webpage and videos of any/all Leela Arts LLC programs.

I HAVE READ AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THE ABOVE WAIVER AND RELEASE OF ALL CLAIMS.
